Special Guests and Creators

A stellar lineup of special guests has been confirmed for this year’s convention. Notable names include acclaimed comic artists and writers such as Bilquis Evely, Jonathan Hickman, Jim Lee, Scott Shaw!, and Jen Sorensen. They join a roster of more than 35 previously announced creators, promising a diverse and dynamic presence from across the comics industry.

Panels and Programming

While the full official schedule is set to be released in July, several panels and programming highlights have been revealed. Preview Night kicks off on Wednesday, July 23, with film festival screenings and a first look at the Exhibit Hall. Thursday’s programming includes the “Space Command” panel and a major Apex Comics Group session, which will feature exclusive comic and action figure announcements, special guests, and surprise reveals. Each day of the convention—Thursday through Sunday—will feature a mix of panels covering movies, television, comics, and more.

Exclusives and Collectibles

Collectors can look forward to a range of exclusive merchandise and limited-edition items. CGC and JSA are returning with exclusive pin giveaways, autograph signings, and on-site grading services for comics, trading cards, video games, and memorabilia. Highlights include the Abominable Toys Chomp x Godzilla Gem Mint 10 Pin and the launch of the DSTLRY Gem Mint 10 Pin. Attendees can also participate in a 25th Anniversary Mystery Box Egg Hunt and meet grading experts at the CGC booth. Clayton Crain will be hosting signings, with exclusive pins available to those who participate in the Signature Series.

Kidrobot is also debuting a fresh lineup of collectibles inspired by popular franchises such as Adventure Time, Jaws, The Simpsons, and Hello Kitty. Additional exclusive items are expected from other major brands and artists throughout the convention.

Offsite Events and Experiences

The excitement extends beyond the convention center with a variety of offsite events. Shudder is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a slate of horror-themed experiences. The Malibu Barbie Cafe is making its way to San Diego, offering a unique dining and pop culture experience for fans. XLE Productions returns with its popular “Ready Party One” kickoff event, and local favorites like Baja Rick’s are preparing special offerings for attendees.

Badges and Community

Badges for Comic-Con 2025 have been sent out to attendees, and fans are encouraged to stay connected for more updates as the event approaches. The convention continues to celebrate the worlds of comics, film, television, and fandom, bringing together creators, collectors, and fans for an unforgettable experience.

With more announcements expected in the coming weeks, anticipation is building for what promises to be a standout year at San Diego Comic-Con.

As well as experiencing curated and immersive experiences like an interactive photo booth and scavenger hunt to highlight the five immersive worlds coming to the all-new Universal Epic Universe theme park opening in 2025, guests were treated to an unforgettable night of music and dance (along with some awesome roller skaters), as well as an AR experience and collectible pin from Pinfinity to commemorate Fandom’s 20th anniversary, and arcade games filled with prizes.

The Penguin’s Rhenzy Feliz & Marié Botha, critic Juju Green, influencers Lena Lemon & Gabby Ortega, and actor Marcus Choi were among the featured guests who came to celebrate with Fandom, along with a show-stopping performance delivered by one of TikTok’s biggest influencers, DJ XANDRA, who kept the crowd on the dancefloor, and last but not least, an inflatable 14-foot man surprised the crowd.
Fandom’s 20th anniversary marked a significant milestone, highlighting its impact on fan communities worldwide. For fans, it has become a vital hub for connecting, sharing knowledge, and celebrating their favorite franchises. Fandom was recognized not only for its achievements but also for its continued influence in shaping fan culture.
