During the interview, we touched on the powerful, unbreakable bond between their characters, sisters Dana and Em. This connection, they shared, wasn’t just for the cameras. Scrofano and Weltman spoke of an immediate and deep-seated trust that formed between them almost instantly, allowing them to bring a raw and genuine sisterhood to the screen. This real-life friendship became an anchor, especially when navigating the show’s emotionally turbulent waters. They touched on the immense challenge of portraying such profound human experiences, a task that required both actors to dig deep into their own vulnerabilities.

Weltman, who plays the resurrected and fragile Em, opened up about the extensive research she undertook to portray her character’s struggles with addiction, emphasizing the immense responsibility of depicting mental health with sensitivity and care. In a moment of raw honesty, Scrofano revealed how a personal loss she experienced during filming reshaped her perspective and informed her performance. When asked how her character, Dana, a dedicated police officer, juggles her duty with the fierce need to protect her revived sister, Scrofano was clear: for Dana, “humanity always supersedes the badge.” Family, in the world of Revival, is the ultimate law.

This theme of strength in vulnerability was echoed by Weltman as she described Em’s journey. Her character, though terrified and physically fragile after being brought back to life, discovers that embracing her emotions is what truly makes her strong. It’s a journey Weltman relates to personally, having often been underestimated herself. SDCC Hosts Panel, New gameplay trailer, and major announcement for Retroware’s Toxic Crusaders beat-’em-up!

This Saturday, July 26, indie gaming and gloriously gory cult cinema will unite for It’s Troma Time, celebrating the infamous cult studio’s 50+ year legacy. During the panel, which kicks off at 9PM PDT, studio co-founder and underground icon Lloyd Kaufman will deliver updates on his latest cinematic shocker, Troma’s The Power of Positive Murder. He’ll be joined by producer Andrew Miller, star Adam Peltier, and actress Catherine Corcoran (Terrifier, Return to Nuke ’Em High), as well as Mathew Klickstein, author of Lloyd Kaufman Interviews. The panel will be moderated by Megan Silver.

Capping off the panel, Retroware’s Creative Director Justin Silverman will debut a new gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Toxic Crusaders beat-’em-up that expands upon the story of the cult classic ‘90s cartoon series. Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc. today announced its lineup of Gundam-related activities at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), one of the world’s largest pop culture and entertainment conventions. The event will take place in San Diego, USA, from Thursday, July 24 to Sunday, July 27, 2025.

At Booth #3829, the Bandai Hobby will showcase a special display celebrating the 30th anniversary of Mobile Suit Gundam Wing. Fans can explore a wide range of exclusive Gundam Wing merchandise and experience a statue of the iconic Wing Gundam up close.

About “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing”

“Mobile Suit Gundam Wing” is the second title in the Gundam Alternative series. The story kicks off with an explosive opening, as five Gundam mobile suits launch a surprise attack on a powerful organization, setting the tone for a nonstop, high-stakes narrative that continues all the way through the finale. It is also notable for being the first Gundam series to be broadcast in the United States.

Summary of “Mobile Suit Gundam Wing”

A.C. 195. The space colonies launch Operation Meteor, dropping Gundam mobile suits onto Earth to strike back against the United Earth Sphere Alliance, which rules over them with armed force. After catching sight of Heero Yuy, one of the Gundam pilots, Relena Darlian is caught up in the vortex of fate. Duo Maxwell, Trowa Barton, Quatre Raberba Winner, and Chang Wufei–four other Gundam pilots with the same mission as Heero–begin encountering one another as if drawn together. Through the schemes of Treize Khushrenada, leader of the secret society known as OZ, they end up wiping out the peaceful faction of the Alliance leadership. With this incident, OZ steps onto the center stage of history.
