Grimm Fairy Tales #73 Beyond the Threshold of Dread, takes you right into the action. It is an excellent read if you are into Zenescope Comics and has a great story. It starts off with Winter in a state of trance learning about Cthulhu who is an ancient one. As she is in this trance the story is being told by another entity known as Yog Sothoth.
The action begins as soon as Winter comes back to reality. We go straight into action battling Starspawn which leads them to a run-in with Baba Yaga. All pleasantries are skipped as Baba Yaga tries to kill Winter until she is interrupted by two unexpected guests.
Britney is holding a green object that garners the attention of all those around her including Baba Yaga. The object awakens something as all stand in shock and disbelief. We will have to tune into the next issue to find out what happens.
Zenescope is known for its colors and vivid art which can be seen throughout this issue. The artwork is fantastic as well as the inking. The lettering is fluid. If you like Zenescope, be sure to pick this issue up at your local comic retailer.
