The next title from Illfonic Arcadegeddon released today July 5th, 2022 on the Epic Games Store, Playstation 5, Playstation 4, and Xbox Series X/S for $29.99.
Arcadegeddon is an ever-evolving co-op multiplayer rated T for Teen, and has a mix of PVE and PVP experiences that allow for all different speeds of play.
After a year in early access on PC and Playstation 5 new challengers on Playstation 4 and Xbox Series X/S can join in on the fun. Physical copies of Arcadegeddon will be available for pre-order today from Nighthawk Interactive which can later be picked up or shipped from various retailers on August 30, 2022.
The story behind the game is that Gilly, the owner of a local arcade, creates a super game by connecting all the top arcade games together to save his business from the evil mega-corporation Fun Fun Co. (FFC). Unfortunately, the FFC hacks into the arcade and injects a virus.
You can play solo or with up to three friends regardless of the platform to explore different biomes, mini-games, find hidden chests, and defeat numerous enemy types. Yes, it has boss levels too! You can earn street cred by taking on challenges from local “gangs” that hang out in Gilly’s Arcade and get a spot on the global leaderboards.
If you were a player during early access all accounts are being reset, all unlocked cosmetics will remain in your inventory plus you will receive a special outfit and a unique decoration as well as a currency boost bundle with a 5-day maximum XP boost.
Arcadegeddon showcases original music made for the game by Aaron Rutherford, Jimmy Blythe (AFK), Mark Rutherford, and Ray Volpe. We’ve also got music from Getter, UZ, Thook, Halogenix, Milano, South, and Swrly. Even our very own GRAMMY-winning CEO, Charles Brungardt, made a return to music and produced a few tracks for the game! The first two volumes of the soundtrack are now available on digital music platforms.
Arcadegeddon is rated T (for Teen) and supports cross-platform play across all available platforms at 1.0 launch.
Arcadegeddon runs on Unreal Engine 4.
